Correction : Transaction in Own Shares

The issuer wishes to advise that the announcement release on 19 July 2011 at
17:04 detailed the incorrect number of shares repurchased for cancellation. This
should have read 8,145 with the number of shares in issue following the
transaction being 54,661,084. The corrected announcement follows below.

Invesco Perpetual UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust plc announces that on
19 July 2011, it purchased for cancellation 8,145 ordinary shares of 20p each
at 208.25p per share.

Following this purchase there remain 54,661,084 shares in issue.
