HEADLINE: PURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES FOR CANCELLATION

Invesco Asia Trust plc announces that on 9 October 2013, it purchased for
cancellation 23,490 ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of 160.00p per
share.

Following this transaction, the Company has 3,277,224 ordinary shares held in
treasury and 89,551,527 ordinary shares in circulation. The total number of
ordinary shares in issue is 92,828,751.
