HEADLINE: PURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES

FOR TREASURY

Invesco Asia Trust plc announces that on 19 December 2011, it purchased for
treasury 1,791,000 ordinary shares of 10p each at 139.25p per share.

Following this transaction, the Company has 1,791,000 ordinary shares held in
treasury and 93,165,757 ordinary shares in circulation. The total number of
shares in issue remains as 94,956,757.
