Purchase of shares for cancellation

TriVest VCT plc announces that on 28 September 2007, it purchased a total of
256,000 Ordinary Shares of the Company for cancellation at a price of 87.21
pence per share.

Following this purchase the Company now has 36,589,479 Ordinary Shares in
issue.
