Transaction in Own Shares

EP Global Opportunities Trust plc (the `Company')

The Company announces that on 31 March 2009 it purchased 42,000 of its own
Ordinary 1p shares at a price of £1.235 per share. The shares have been placed
into Treasury.

The Company also announces that on 31 March 2009 it purchased 83,000 of its own
Ordinary 1p shares at a price of £1.235 per share. The shares have been
purchased for cancellation.

Following these repurchases the Company has 3,391,000 Ordinary shares held in
treasury. The number of shares in issue is now 33,915,180. The number of shares
in issue, less those held in treasury, is 30,524,180.
