                                 AGM STATEMENT                                 

At the Annual General Meeting of the Company, to be held at 3.00pm this
afternoon, the Chairman will announce that progress continues to be made by
Talent Television Limited, its wholly owned subsidiary, with new commissions.
In particular, ITV has commissioned a programme to celebrate its 50th
Anniversary and a special series of Best of Friends, to be shot overseas, has
been commissioned by the BBC.
