TRANSACTION BY A DIRECTOR AND PDMR

The Company wishes to advise that Mike Clist today exercised an Executive Share
Option over 14,353 `A' Ordinary 40p shares in the Company, which were granted
to him in July 2001 at a price of £2.09 per share.

Mr Clist then sold 5,798 `A' Ordinary 40p Shares on the London Stock Exchange,
at a price of £5.20 per share.

This announcement is made in accordance with the requirements of DTR 3.1.4.
