Ellis Watson was appointed to the Board of FirstGroup plc as Group Marketing
and Business Development Director with effect from 23 July 2009.

This disclosure is made pursuant to paragraph 9.6.12R of the Financial Services
Authority's Listing Rules.

There are no other details required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
