Statement re Repayment of Loan

The Board of Fidelity Special Values PLC announces that on 26 January 2010 the
Company repaid the fixed rate unsecured loan from Barclays Bank PLC of £
27,000,000 which matured on that date.

The Company continues to utilise contracts for difference to provide gearing.
