Loan drawdown

Further to an announcement made on 25 October 2004, Fidelity Special Values PLC
announces that on 26 January 2005 Tranche B of a facility of £27m from Barclays
Bank plc was drawn down in full. Tranche B (totalling £20m) is at a fixed rate
of 5.435% for a period of five years and will be repayable in full on 26
January 2010. The proceeds of Tranche B of the facility have been used to repay
the loans totalling £20m with JPMorgan Chase Bank.
