Further re EGM to be held on 10 July 2008

Fidelity Special Values PLC - Extraordinary General Meeting - 10 July 2008 An Extraordinary General Meeting has been convened by the Company to take place on 10 July 2008. The sole purpose of the meeting is to seek shareholder approval to make various changes, in light of the Companies Act 2006, to the Company's Articles of Association. It has come to the Board's attention that some shareholders regard the proposed provision for a dispute resolution procedure limiting any arbitration to the UK to be a dilution of shareholders' rights. While this provision was included to protect the Company from costly litigation overseas, the Board has decided that should the resolution to adopt the new Articles of Association be passed on 10 July 2008, this particular provision will be deleted, subject to shareholder approval at the next shareholder meeting (December 2008), thus avoiding the additional expense of convening another EGM to implement the change.
