Issue of Equity - amendment announcement

The issuer advises that the following replaces the issue of equity announcement
released on 2 March 2010 at 12:25 under RNS number PRNUK-0203101224-1163. The
effective date of allotment should have read 26 February 2010 and not 28
February 2010 as previously announced. All other details remain unchanged. The
full amended text appears below.

Fidelity Japanese Values PLC announces that on 2 March 2010 the Company issued
and allotted 59,156 ordinary 25p shares with effect from 26 February 2010 in
respect of shares arising on the exercise of subscription shares.

The total issued ordinary share capital is now 95,636,609.

A total of 19,056,225 subscription shares have not yet been exercised.
