Loan facility

Fidelity Asian Values PLC announces that the Company has entered into a three
year loan agreement with Lloyds TSB Bank PLC for an amount of US$ 18 million.
The rate of interest applicable to the loan during its term shall be 5.60%.

The loan has been drawn down today with a repayment date of 25 September 2009.

The above loan has been used to repay the Company's US$ 18 million loan from
HSBC Bank PLC which matured today.
