New Admiral License Agreement for the USA

Embargoed 07:00 Wednesday 8th November 2006 INTERNATIONAL BRAND LICENSING PLC ANNOUNCES NEW USA LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR ADMIRAL International Brand Licensing Plc ("IBL") announces that it has signed a new license agreement for its Admiral sports brand in the USA with the Axis Group. The five year agreement, exclusive for the football clothing, footwear, and equipment categories, will generate minimum royalties of almost $850,000 during the term. Tony Hutchinson, IBL Chief Executive, comments: "We are delighted to have signed this agreement with the Axis Group for the USA. Axis has been the Admiral licensee for Canada since 1994 during which time they have built Admiral into the number one soccer kit brand in Canada, outselling all the global and specialist competitor brands. Axis already has warehousing and distribution facilities based in Atlanta, and the excellent performance playing and training wear so successfully marketed in Canada will have a perfect fit for the huge USA soccer market. This represents a major development for Admiral in North America, and we are confident that Axis will succeed in mirroring in the USA much of the success they have achieved in Canada in the coming years." Admiral is the official kit supplier to the England and Wales and West Indies Cricket Boards as well as Leeds United Football Club, and is sold at JJB, Asda, JD, Debenhams, and sports independents throughout the UK.
