The Board has been notified today that an employee of Lawrence has acquired
12,000 Lawrence ordinary shares at a price of 125 pence per share as a result
of the exercise of options granted to him on 16th October1998.

Accordingly, application has been made for 12,000 new ordinary shares to be
admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market on Tuesday 26th August
2003.

Following this, the number of shares in issue will be 26,309,952.
