The Diverse Income Trust plc (the "Company") 16 July 2012 THE DIVERSE INCOME TRUST GROWS ITS NET ASSETS TO CIRCA £80 MILLION WITH C SHARE ISSUE Following the recent announcement of a C Share issue the Board of The Diverse Income Trust plc is pleased to announce that further to the Placing and Offer for Subscription by the Company, applications have been received under the Placing for 53,905,400 C Shares and under the Offer for Subscription for 6,094,600 C Shares, at an issue price of 50p each, raising an aggregate of £30 million of gross proceeds for the Company. Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for all of the C Shares to be issued pursuant to the Issue to be admitted to the premium segment of the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for such C Shares to be admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange's main market for listed securities. It is expected that Admission will become effective and dealings will commence at 8.00am on 19 July 2012. The expected Net Asset Value per C Share at Admission will be 48.8 pence. The ticker symbol for the Company's C Shares will be 'DIVC' (ISIN: GB00B7ZZ0Y29). The terms and timing of the conversion of the C Shares into Ordinary Shares will be announced in due course.
