RE:      Paragraph 9.6.11 of the Listing Rules                             

Diageo plc (the "Company") announces that Todd Stitzer will retire as a
director of the Company at the forthcoming annual general meeting (`AGM'), due
to be held on 19 September 2013, having served greater than nine years as a
director. As previously announced, Paul Walsh will also stand down as a
director at the AGM.
