                        ADJUSTMENTS OF ON-GRID TARIFFS

Special Notice:

The board of directors (the "Board") and all directors (the "Directors") of 
Datang International Power Generation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") warrant that 
there are no false representations and misleading statements contained in, or 
material omissions from, this announcement, and severally and jointly accept 
the responsibility for the truthfulness, accuracy and completeness of the 
content of this announcement. 

This announcement is made pursuant to Rule 13.09(1) of the Rules Governing the 
Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.

The Company has received the "Notice from the National Development and Reform 
Commission on Relevant Issues Regarding Appropriate Adjustments of Tariffs" 
issued by the National Development and Reform Commission recently. With an aim 
to compensate a portion of increased costs of coal-fired power generation 
enterprises due to increased thermal coal prices, to relieve the operating 
difficulties of these enterprises and to ensure normal and rational power 
supply, the State has decided to appropriately adjust the tariff standards of 
certain regions.

Details regarding the service areas of the Company where tariff adjustments 
will take place, the relevant tariff increase standards and the execution dates 
are set out as follows:

After the current adjustments on on-grid tariff, the average on-grid tariff 
(including value-added tax) of the Company's coal-fired units will increase by 
RMB10.11 yuan/MWh as compared with the tariffs before adjustments, representing 
an increase of approximately 2.63% (calculated basing on the estimated increased 
amounts to be received from the tariff adjustments and the estimated coal-fired 
on-grid generation volume for the year).
