Product Launch

Concurrent Technologies Plc Product launch drives new technology initiative Concurrent Technologies Plc ("Concurrent") a world leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-end embedded computer products announces the launch of its FX 210/018 a new Switched-Fabric Board to complement its VME product range. Concurrent will use this new product as part of a new initiative directed towards customers in internet telephony systems, data management as well as defence and industrial customers. A Switched-Fabric Board allows nodes on the computer boards to inter-connect and inter-communicate with one another at very high speeds. This multiple interconnection is the "Fabric" in Switched-Fabric. The board operates at a very high level of reliability in that if a connection fails, data can traverse alternate paths. The FX 210/018 is an embedded 1000Mbps switching platform, providing a cost effective, low power solution for inter-board communications. Typically consuming less than 16 Watts it supports eighteen payload boards, an inter-switch link and up to four Ethernet ports on the front panel. Glen Fawcett, Managing Director, commented: "We continue to drive forward our new product plans which we view as being key to maintaining a competitive edge. Our dynamic approach to technology positions us as a driver in the industry." 30 January 2007 Contacts: Concurrent Technologies Plc 01206 752 626 Glen Fawcett, Managing Director Nexus Financial Ltd 020 7451 7050 Nicholas Nelson All trademarks, registered trademarks and trade names used in this announcement are the property of their respective owners.
