Kinsenda Copper Project

Immediate Release 3 July 2006 COPPER RESOURCES CORPORATION CONSTRUCTION COMMENCES AT KINSENDA COPPER PROJECT IN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO LONDON, United Kingdom - 3 July 2006. Copper Resources Corporation (AIM: CRC.L) ("CRC"), is pleased to announce the start of construction of its processing plant at the Kinsenda underground mine in Katanga Province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The plant will treat 1.2 million tonnes of 5.1% grade Kinsenda ore to produce, at full capacity, 54,000 tonnes per annum of contained copper in the form of a rich, 45% concentrate. At US$23 million, the estimated plant cost is low because it involves the relocation and refurbishing parts of existing concentrator equipment from Musoshi, another property of CRC's 75%-owned subsidiary, Minière de Kinsenda et Musoshi sarl, and adding new equipment where required to complete and modernise the Kinsenda processing plant. Dewatering of the Kinsenda mine, which started in mid-February is proceeding on schedule, having now reached the 163 metre level. Copper Resources Nabarro Wells & Co.
