SMALL COMPANIES DIVIDEND TRUST PLC (the "Company")               

                             Dividend Declaration                              

The Company has today declared a third interim dividend in respect of the year
1 May 2012 to 30 April 2013.

A third interim dividend of 1.40p per Ordinary share will be paid on 15 April
2013 to the holders of Ordinary shares on the register at 5 April 2013, with an
ex-dividend date of 3 April 2013.
