23 December 2014 Andrew Williams appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Capita plc Capita plc ('Capita') announces the appointment of Andrew Williams as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 January 2015. Andrew will be appointed to Capita's Nomination, Remuneration and Audit and Risk Committees on his appointment to the Board. Andrew is Chief Executive of Halma plc, a leading specialist in safety, health and environmental technologies and a FTSE 250 company. He was appointed Chief Executive in February 2005. Andrew started his career at Halma in 1994 as Manufacturing Director of a subsidiary company and went on to hold a wide range of senior management positions across the Group. Andrew is a Chartered Engineer and a production engineering graduate of Birmingham University. He attended the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania in 2004. Andy Parker, Chief Executive of Capita plc, commented; "Andrew brings a wealth of experience gained from his senior leadership and operational management roles across a wide range of industry sectors and countries.
