Capita divests part of IBS OPENSystems

        Capita divests IBS OPENSystems' revenues and benefits business         

The Capita Group Plc ("Capita") announces the sale of IBS OPENSystems' revenues
and benefits software business to Civica UK Limited for £10 million on a cash
free, debt free basis.

Capita agreed to sell this business to resolve the competition concerns
identified by the Competition Commission following its investigation into the
acquisition of IBS OPENSystems plc ("IBS") by Capita in June 2008. The revenues
and benefits business forms approximately one third of IBS.

Following the divestment, Capita will fully integrate IBS's housing software
business, which is being retained.
