HSBC voting rights at 5.96%

HSBC Holdings Plc notified the company on 10 October that as of 9 October 2008
it held voting rights in respect of 19,192,801 shares in the capital of the
company which represents 5.96% of the total voting rights in Bodycote plc as at
that date (6.2% on 29 September 2008).
