Chairman and fellow director increase stakes

Bodycote plc announces that Company Chairman, Alan Thomson, notified the
company that he had today bought 12,500 shares at 206p per share. Mr Thomson's
beneficial interests now total 37,500 shares.

Bodycote further announces that Corporate Development Director, Derek Sleight,
notified the company that he had today bought 12,000 shares at 203.8p per
share. Mr Sleight's beneficial interests now total 185,631 shares held as
follows: -
