Aegon Material Interest now 5.9%

Aegon Asset Management UK plc (on behalf of itself and the Aegon UK plc Group
of Companies) notified the Company on 11 March 2004 that, following a disposal
of 842,867 shares, it now held 15,211,174 shares of Bodycote International plc
representing 5.9% of Bodycote's issued and paid-up share capital.
