Appointment of Fund Manager

The Board of The Throgmorton Trust PLC (the "Company") today announces the
appointment of Chris St John, Fund Manager, AXA Framlington as the Company's
portfolio manager with immediate effect.  Chris joined AXA Framlington in 2005
and is the primary fund manager for the institutional small cap strategies and
the mid and small cap unconstrained strategies. 

Chris has been the alternate fund manager both for the Company and the AXA
Framlington UK Smaller Companies Fund. He has worked very closely with Roger
Whiteoak, the former manager of The Throgmorton Trust PLC, since joining AXA
Framlington.  The Board welcomes Chris St John's appointment and looks forward
to working with him going forward.

Roger Whiteoak has resigned from AXA Framlington to pursue other opportunities.
 The Board would like to thank him for his contribution to The Throgmorton
Trust PLC and wish him well with his future endeavours.
