NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS/PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL
RESPONSIBILITY AND CONNECTED PERSONS

In accordance with the provisions of the Model Code (the "Code"), The
Thorgmorton Trust PLC (the "Company") hereby announces that clearance has been
granted under paragraph 4 of the Code for Susan Beart (a connected person to
Simon Beart, a non executive director of the Company) to participate in the
BlackRock Investment Trusts Savings Plan (the "Savings Plan"). In accordance
with the terms of the Savings Plan, Mrs Beart will purchase shares in the
Company on a monthly basis through a regular direct debit.

The first share purchase will be undertaken on, or around 24 December 2010
following which an announcement will be made in accordance with DTR3.1.
