BLACKROCK NORTH AMERICAN INCOME TRUST PLC

ANNOUNCEMENT OF QUARTERLY INTERIM DIVIDEND

6 May 2015

The Board of BlackRock North American Income Trust plc is pleased to announce
that the second quarterly interim dividend in respect of the financial year
ending 31 October 2015 of 1.10p per ordinary share has been declared by the
Directors, payable on 1 July 2015 to holders of ordinary shares on the register
at the close of business on 22 May 2015 (ex-dividend date is 21 May 2015).

This represents an increase of 10% on the first quarterly dividend and it is the 
Board's current intention to maintain this quarterly payout.
