ANNOUNCEMENT OF QUARTERLY INTERIM DIVIDEND

The Board of BlackRock North American Income Trust plc is pleased to announce
that the fourth quarterly interim dividend in respect of the financial year
ended 31 October 2014 of 1.0p per ordinary share has been declared by the
Directors, payable on 5 January 2015 to holders of ordinary shares on the
register at the close of business on 14 November 2014 (ex-dividend date is 13
November 2014).
