Statement re Blocklisting

BLACKROCK FRONTIERS INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

BlackRock Frontiers Investment Trust plc announces that an application has been
made to the UK Listing Authority for a blocklisting of 9,400,000 Ordinary
Shares of 1 cent each to be admitted to the Official List and to the London
Stock Exchange for the shares to be admitted to trading on its main market.

Shares will be issued under the blocklisting in respect of an issuance
programme for general business purposes.
