ANNOUNCEMENT OF QUARTERLY INTERIM DIVIDEND

The Board of BlackRock Commodities Income Investment Trust plc is pleased to
announce that the first quarterly interim dividend in respect of the year to 
30 November 2010 of 1.375p per ordinary share has been declared by the Directors,
payable on 23 April 2010 to holders of ordinary shares on the register at the
close of business on 26 March 2010 (ex dividend date is 24 March 2010).
