BLACKROCK COMMODITIES INCOME INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

ANNOUNCEMENT OF QUARTERLY INTERIM DIVIDEND

The Board of BlackRock Commodities Income Investment Trust plc is pleased to
announce that the fourth quarterly interim dividend in respect of the year to
30 November 2010 of 1.475p per ordinary share has been declared by the
Directors, payable on 21 January 2011 to holders of ordinary shares on the
register at the close of business on 24 December 2010 (ex dividend date is 22
December 2010).

This gives total ordinary dividends of 5.6 pence per share for the year ended
30 November 2010 against a target of 5.5 pence per share. In addition two
special dividends totalling 1.52 pence per share were also paid in the year.
