ANNOUNCEMENT OF QUARTERLY INTERIM DIVIDEND

The Board of BlackRock Commodities Income Investment Trust plc is pleased to
announce that the fourth quarterly interim dividend in respect of the year to
30 November 2009 of 1.45p per ordinary share has been declared by the
Directors, payable on 29 January 2010 to holders of ordinary shares on the
register at the close of business on 4 January 2010 (ex dividend date is 30
December 2009).
