           NOTICE OF CHANGE OF INTERESTS OF SIGNIFICANT SHAREHOLDER            

Base Resources Limited (ASX:BSE, AIM:BSE) ("Base" or the "Company") wishes to
advise that it has received notification from significant shareholder, L1
Capital Pty Limited, advising that they currently hold interests in 43,604,398
ordinary shares in Base representing 7.76% of the Company's issued share
capital, following the disposal of 323,331 ordinary shares in Base on 8 October
2013.

The total holding above is an aggregate of interests held by National Nominees
Limited (7,780,790 shares), State Street Australia Ltd (2,369,068 shares),
Citigroup Nominees (6,184,715), JP Morgan Nominees Australia Ltd (25,025,594)
and Credit Suisse (2,244,231).
