Total Voting Rights

Baring Emerging Europe PLC - Voting Rights and Capital

At 31 July 2007 the Company's capital consisted of 44,359,906 ordinary share of
10p each. At that date the Company held 2,417,725 ordinary shares in Treasury.

Therefore the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights at 31 July
2007 is 41,942,181.

The above figure of 41,942,181 may be used by shareholders as the denominator
by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in
the Company, or change of their interest in the Company, under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
