Cancellation of Block Listings

THE EUROPEAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

BLOCK LISTINGS

The European Investment Trust plc has in place four block listings, which were
established for the following schemes:

These are historic schemes that were established by the Company's former
Investment Manager. As the Company no longer has access to these schemes and is
therefore unable to issue the shares that are the subject of these block
listings, the Company hereby cancels each of the block listings with immediate
effect.
