PDMR Shareholding

The Company announces that it received notice on 7 April 2006 that Miss Clare
Groom exercised options over 50,000 Ordinary Shares at 25p per share under the
Microgen Employee Share Participation Scheme 1999. Miss Groom subsequently sold
36,513 shares at 61 pence per share on 7 April 2006.

Following these transactions Miss Groom's total shareholding in the Company is
36,171 Ordinary Shares representing 0.0352% of the Company's issued share
capital.
