                  Young & Co.’s Brewery, P.L.C. (the “Company”)

               Notifications pursuant to rule 17 of the AIM Rules

On 29 September 2006, 166,632 ‘A’ ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company
were released by the Trustee pursuant to the Company’s profit sharing scheme.
None of the recipients was a director of the Company.

The shares referred to above were held in trust by Ram Brewery Trustees Limited.
As beneficiaries under that trust as members of the Company’s profit-sharing,
share option and / or pension schemes, the following directors had an interest
in those shares, namely James Young, Stephen Goodyear, Torquil Sligo-Young,
Peter Whitehead, Patrick Dardis and Christopher Sandland. Each of those
directors has notified the Company that his interest had been reduced
accordingly.

On 29 September 2006, consequent upon the transfer of the shares out of the Ram
Brewery Trust, the Company received from Ram Brewery Trustees Limited
notification that it was now interested in 1,550,184 ‘A’ ordinary shares of 50p
each representing 21.33% of that class.
