Young & Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C (the 'Company')

Notification of Directors' interests in ordinary shares of 50p each pursuant to
paragraph 16.13 of the Listing Rules.

Ram Brewery Trustees Limited (the 'Trustee')

The Company has today received notification that 4,505 'A' ordinary shares of
50p each in the Company were released by the Trustee on 8 April 2005 pursuant to
the Company's profit-sharing scheme. The recipient was not a director of the
Company.

The Executive Directors remain beneficiaries and so interested, along with other
participants of the Company's profit sharing, share option and pension schemes,
in 1,887, 400 'B' ordinary shares still held by the Trustee. Mr J A Young and Mr
J G A Young are both directors of the Trustee.
