Notifications of Interests of Directors and Connected Persons

On 22 July 2005, Young & Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C. (the "Company") received the
following notification from John Young a director of the Company under section
324 of the Companies Act 1985:

"In fulfilment of the obligation imposed by section 324 of the Companies Act
1985, I hereby give you notice that on Monday, 18 July 2005 I ceased to be
interested in a total of 16 'A' ordinary shares of £0.50 each in the Company as
these were gifted equally amongst my 4 grandsons."
