TATE & LYLE DIRECTORATE CHANGE

Tate & Lyle PLC announces that Virginia (“Ginny”) Kamsky has decided to step down as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 July 2015.

Ms Kamsky is based in the US and is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Kamsky Associates, Inc, which she founded in 1980 and which was one of the first approved foreign advisory firms in China. She has recently been retained to advise on a number of unanticipated projects of a long-term nature. The requirements of her increased executive responsibilities mean that she will no longer be able to commit the required time to travel to the UK on a regular basis to attend Tate & Lyle Board meetings. This has prompted her decision to step down.

Sir Peter Gershon, Chairman of Tate & Lyle, said: “I am sorry that Ginny’s additional executive commitments make it necessary for her to step down from the Board. On behalf of her colleagues on the Board, I would like to thank Ginny for her significant contribution over the past two and a half years and wish her every success in the future.”

Ginny Kamsky said, “I am disappointed that the increased requirements of my executive role mean that I have to step down from the Board. I have greatly enjoyed my time with Tate & Lyle and wish the Company every success in the future”.

The notice for the Company’s Annual General Meeting 2015 was sent to shareholders on 29 June 2015 and contains resolutions proposing the re-election of all directors, including Ginny Kamsky. Following her resignation, Ms Kamsky will no longer be standing for re-election. The Nominations Committee will commence a search for an additional non-executive director to join the Board in due course.
