Tate & Lyle PLC (the “Company”) has been informed that Javed Ahmed, Chief Executive of the Company, purchased a total of 100,000 ordinary 25p shares in the capital of the Company on the London Stock Exchange today at a price of 413.95 pence per share. Mr Ahmed now holds a total of 603,538 shares in the Company.

This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the FSA’s Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
