Tate & Lyle PLC (the “Company”) has been informed that Javed Ahmed, Chief Executive of the Company, purchased a total of 100,000 ordinary 25p shares in the capital of the Company on the London Stock Exchange today at a price of 390 pence per share. Mr Ahmed had not previously held any shares in the Company.

This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the FSA’s Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
