FTSE Nationality Advisory Committee Outcome

Smurfit Kappa Group plc (“SKG” or the “Group”), one of the world’s largest integrated manufacturers of paper-based packaging products, with operations in Europe and the Americas, notes the announcement issued on 28 April, 2016 by FTSE confirming that SKG has now been allocated to the UK by the FTSE Nationality Advisory Committee. This is for the purposes of the UK Index Series only.

Inclusion of SKG in the UK Index Series of the FTSE Indices in June is now conditional on SKG meeting the 20 business day liquidity tests contained in the FTSE Ground Rules in the period prior to 1 June, 2016. A further announcement will be made at that date if necessary.
