Orosur Mining Inc Announces New Staff Appointments at San Gregorio

Orosur Mining Inc. (‘OMI’ or ‘the Company’) (TSX: OMI) (AIM: OMI), a South American-focused gold producer and explorer, announces new appointments at the San Gregorio mine.

Orosur is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Juan Lacerda as General Manager for San Gregorio and Mr Alfredo Elizondo as the new Mining Manager.

Mr Lacerda is a Uruguayan Chemical Engineer who has worked for the Company for more than 10 years and has previously held the positions of Mill General Foreman, Mill Superintendent in San Gregorio and recently was Project Manager for the Company´s Pantanillo project in Chile, where he assisted in the completion of a positive Scoping Study (see press release on June 1^st , 2012). During his time as Mill Superintendent, Juan was responsible for increasing plant throughput from 1 million tonnes per annum to 1.5 million tonnes per annum through improvement in operating practices and systems with minimal capital investment. Mr Lacerda will replace Mr Randall Corbett who is leaving the Company.

Mr Alfredo Elizondo is an Argentinian Mine Engineer specializing in underground and open-pit operations. Mr Elizondo has almost 15 years of experience, has been in charge of several expansion projects and has experience in planning, development and management of operations and production. He has worked for Barrick Gold Corp. (in the Veladero project), Yamana Gold (in the Gualcamayo project) and Panamerican Silver, among others.
