Marsh & McLennan

Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE: MMC) today announced the release of its 2010 Corporate Citizenship Report, a comprehensive view of the Company’s global corporate citizenship accomplishments. The report also outlines goals for 2011, which include further reducing the Company’s environmental footprint, expanding its corporate social responsibility efforts, and further strengthening its diversity and inclusion efforts.

Marsh & McLennan Companies’ strong legacy of corporate citizenship has laid the groundwork for its expanded initiatives in 2010 and beyond. The Company focuses on proactively meeting the societal needs of the communities it serves and seeks to engage colleagues and drive impact at the global level through environmental sustainability, corporate social responsibility and its greatest resource – its people. By aligning corporate citizenship efforts with the interests of its colleagues, as well as its business strategy, the Company can identify business opportunities that bring shared value to employees, clients and the communities in which it operates.

“This report is our most comprehensive review of corporate citizenship to date, chronicling our accomplishments and increasing commitment to supporting communities and people at risk,” said Brian Duperreault, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marsh & McLennan Companies. “Our commitment is best defined by the name of our new brand campaign Partnering for Impact, which shapes how we approach everything from our own environmental decisions, to helping clients with climate-related challenges, while fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce. It underscores how we operate, holding ourselves accountable to the very highest standards of business ethics and integrity. This year, we’re expanding our efforts on multiple fronts, and are proud of this inaugural, comprehensive corporate citizenship report that captures the true spirit of our global organization,” he added.
