Marsh & McLennan Companies Partners with Tuesday’s Children to Support Project Common Bond and Other Key Programs

Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc.

Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE: MMC), a global professional services firm providing advice and solutions in risk, strategy and human capital, and Tuesday’s Children, the leading non-profit working with children and families affected by the events of September 11, 2001, today announced a partnership that will include funding and pro bono assistance from Marsh & McLennan Companies to support Tuesday’s Children programs.

Marsh & McLennan Companies will provide support to Tuesday’s Children’s overall services. Of note is the Company’s sole corporate sponsorship of Project Common Bond, an international program established to bring together young adults (between 15 and 20 years of age) from around the world who have lost a family member to an act of terrorism or to global conflict.

“Marsh & McLennan Companies has been a friend to us and an advocate of our efforts since our earliest days,” said David Weild, Chairman of Tuesday’s Children. “The Company’s expanded commitment greatly strengthens our programs, particularly Project Common Bond. This special, global community of young adults needs the support of Tuesday’s Children, and we are only able to provide our services with the generosity and spirit of partners like Marsh & McLennan Companies.”

In addition to its support for Project Common Bond, the Company, through its Guy Carpenter subsidiary, will develop a five-year strategic plan for Tuesday’s Children. Pro bono services will include review of long- and short-term goals and overall organizational structure and strategies. The Company will also continue to develop various levels of support for other Tuesday’s Children programs, including technical and advisory assistance for their recently launched Career Resource Center and financial planning workshops for the families of the victims of 9/11 and first responders. Through employee volunteer opportunities, the Company’s colleagues will also continue to offer their individual time and expertise to Tuesday’s Children.

“We are very proud of Marsh & McLennan Companies’ increased commitment to Tuesday’s Children, and look forward to continuing our work with an organization that has provided such steadfast support to the families of the victims of September 11, 2011,” said Laurie Ledford, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer.
