Statement re Investment Trust Status

Gresham House plc (“Gresham” or “the Company”) announces that notification has been received from HM Revenue and Customs (“HMRC”) that its application for approval as an investment trust for the year ended 31 December 2012 has been rejected.

The Company intends to appeal against this decision immediately.

Should the HMRC decision be upheld however, it is not anticipated that the Company will have any liability to corporation tax or capital gains tax for the financial year ending 31 December 2012.

The Company will be submitting an application in January 2014 for approval as an investment trust for the year ended 31 December 2013.

A further announcement will be made once responses have been received from HMRC.
