Share Repurchase Programme

Centrica plc announces that on 27 September 2013, it purchased (through Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited) 1,200,000 (one million, two hundred thousand) Centrica plc ordinary shares at an average price of 368.94 pence per share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares were 372.30 pence and 367.00 pence respectively.

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. As at the date of this announcement, Centrica plc holds 64,825,769 ordinary shares in treasury and has 5,135,103,923 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
